I started writing stuff on the internet in 2010. It was mostly about make-up until I realised that there’s only so much you can say about lipstick and also that I am not good-looking enough to pull off those close-up beauty shots you have to do for foundation reviews.
I like to write mainly about women’s lifestyle, but only the important stuff. This is not a blog about the latest eyeshadow swatches or whatever Topshop is hawking at the moment. It’s not about fads, gimmicks or Ugg boots. It is not about Cath Kidston, cupcakes or any other twee-ass shit. It’s about style with substance, beauty without bullshit and original content based on a personal manifesto of individuality, adventure and an appreciation for the beautiful and the bizarre.
Also: bitchin’. There’s lots of that too.

I met Carla mid-way through university where we discovered a shared interest in fizzy wine, cute typography and making videos of our mutual friend Becky rolling around in PVA glue and gravy granules so we could become internet famous. (We actually managed over 100,000 hits on YouTube, which we thought was pretty good going.)
After graduating from Loughborough in 2011, Carla moved to North West London where she works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer specialising in infographics. Her creative juices are for hire, so if you’re ever in the market for some custom website graphics, portraiture or any other arty shit you can visit her website at www.carlajuniper.com.
I really love your honesty and looking forward to more blog posts, yes I’m curious for moooore!!! :D Love from rainy France at the minute,
